For the past five years, Professional Organizer, Stacey Agin Murray has offered free and low-cost organizing solutions to her clients. Now her solutions will be accessible to all in a new bi-monthly publication called Organize Magazine. It is the first magazine dedicated solely to helping people tackle their organizing needs. Organize Magazine will help readers to create a home that is organized and ready for the real lives we lead. Founder Joyce Dorny, professional organizer, mother of six, and self-professed magazine junkie came up with the idea for Organize Magazine after spending two hours on the computer searching for an organizing magazine to add to her collection. After coming up empty, the idea for Organize Magazine was born. Says Dorny, No more buying multiple magazines for multiple ideas. Organize Magazine will be the one source for finding information about organizing all areas of your life. Organize Magazine is targeted to women who want to enjoy what life has to offer, but find they are spending too much time on the things that have to get done. The magazine launches at all 500 Borders bookstores nationwide and about three-quarters of Barnes & Noble's nearly 800 U.S. stores on June 26th. The magazine has a web site at www.organizemag.com. Murrays column titled, Organizing on a Shoestring will offer readers what she refers to as, champagne ideas' on a 'water-with-lemon wallet.' Each article will begin by suggesting free and low cost solutions for a particular organizing problem and end with The Big Splurge-- an expensive organizing solution for the curious, the spendthrift or the wishful dreamer. Murray says, Organizing on a budget doesnt have to be a challenge. With time, resourcefulness, and a good amount of elbow grease, you can organize your home and your life without emptying your piggy bank. Murray offers three tips for 'organizing on a shoestring': Repurpose an item that is on its way to the recycle bin. For example, a shoe box can be repurposed to hold hair accessories or a dogs leash, brush and collar. Its garage sale seasontake advantage of it! You never know when youll spot drawer dividers, shelf organizers, or desk accessories on someones lawn for pennies on the dollar. For free organizing advice, do an internet search for the phrases, organizing on a budget or organizing on a shoestring.
